Today (16 Sep 2024) the latest update on the flood situation in the provinces along the Mekong River, the Mekong River flowing through Nakhon Phanom Province is at 11.65 meters, only 35 cm from the critical point. And it still tends to rise continuously because there is still water from the north flowing down to join it. As a result, the Songkhram River and the Un River, which are tributaries, cannot drain into the Mekong River. The water therefore overflowed and flooded agricultural areas in Ban Phaeng District, Na Wa District, and Si Songkhram District, causing damage to more than 70,000 rai.
